You’ve wandered into the topsy-turvy world of Tulgey Wood, the blog of writer and historian Jim Fanning. Tulgey Wood celebrates artistry and creativity (and sometimes just plain madness): movies, animation, TV, books, comics—and of course Disney, lots and lots of true-blue, through-and-through Disney, including D23 and Disney twenty-three Magazine, and Sketches Magazine and the Walt Disney Collectors Society. Tulgey Wood is so fun, fascinating and full of frolicsome photos and facts, it’s scary. So wander through the wonder of it all, and enjoy.

A Halloween House For Rocky

A classic haunted house is the setting for the spooky goings-on in this October 1962 comic cover. Rocket J. Squirrel, Bullwinkle J. Moose and their friends (fiendish and otherwise)—including Boris Badenov, Natasha Fatale, Dudley Do-Right (and his horse named Horse), Mr. Peabody and his boy Sherman, and even Fearless Leader— cavort on this stylish, very Halloween-esque cover for this “giant” 80 page comic book based on the sharply-written satirical animated TV show produced by Jay Ward. (Executive producer: Ponsonby Britt.)
