You’ve wandered into the topsy-turvy world of Tulgey Wood, the blog of writer and historian Jim Fanning. Tulgey Wood celebrates artistry and creativity (and sometimes just plain madness): movies, animation, TV, books, comics—and of course Disney, lots and lots of true-blue, through-and-through Disney, including D23 and Disney twenty-three Magazine, and Sketches Magazine and the Walt Disney Collectors Society. Tulgey Wood is so fun, fascinating and full of frolicsome photos and facts, it’s scary. So wander through the wonder of it all, and enjoy.

Magica Takes Flight During The Season Of Fright

It's been the witching hour the last couple days of our Countdown to Halloween 2016 so here comes Magica De Spell to continue the tradition. This sultry sorceress was created just for comics by Carl Barks and she makes the cover (drawn by Andrea Freccero) of the current issue of that classic comic book, Uncle Scrooge No. 19 (actually Number 423 for all you traditionalists who follow the legacy numbering). Just one of the excellent Disney titles being published by IDW, this comic (which boasts some variant covers too) was issued on October 16, so you should be able to find it on stands or online. This post is all part of the Countdown to Halloween 2016, all this month here at Tulgey Wood.
